  • DICK'S PICKの11作目は、初めての72年もの。Vol.10から4ヶ月後に発表された。
  • 72年9月27日のショーである。
  • 71年の３月にドラムのMickey Hartが脱退。74年10月再加入であるから、ドラムはBill Kreutzmann１人である。
  • 71年10月にキーボードのKeith加入、彼の妻であるDonnaの加入は12月。
  • Pigpenは同年のヨーロッバツアーで復活し、6月17日のHollywood Bowlが最期のステージであったので、このアルバムにはクレジットされていない。
    その後、彼は73年3月8日に他界している。死因はアルコール摂取過多。
  • メンバーはJerry,Phil,Bob,Bill,Keith,Donnaという6人での演奏である。
  • Paul Grushkinという人によるコンサートノートが付いている。曲ごとに解説が書いてあり、楽しい。当日のメンバーの服装まで書いてある。（ちなみにJerryはブルージーンズにやっぱり、黒のＴシャツでした。）
  • 曲目と曲順を見ていただくと、少しいつもと違うという感じ。
    なにしろ、いきなりMorning Dewで始まってしまって、それを１２分間やるのだから。
  • その後、set1は、Friend of the Devil,Tennessee Jed,Bird Song,Big River,Brokedown Place,China Cat Sinflowerと、おなじみの魅力的ナンバーが次々と演奏され、最期はPlaying in the Bandで締めくくるという内容で、聴き応えあり。
  • He's Goneで始まるset2は、何と言っても、中盤で演奏されるDark Starが圧巻。何と３０分以上の演奏である。その後は、親しみのあるナンバーが続き、Attics of my Life,Promised Land,Uncle John's Bandの後、締めくくりはCasey Jonesである。アンコールはAround & Around。ふー、すごいコンサートでした！
